Our Story
Paving Place is the dedicated paving and landscaping division of Walter Tipper Limited — a fifth-generation, family-run builders' merchant with over 100 years of experience supplying building materials across the UK.
Our heritage dates back to 1888, when Walter Tipper began mining alabaster in the Midlands. In 1916, the first Tippers builders' merchant opened in Uttoxeter, forming the foundation of a business that has grown into one of the Midlands' leading independent merchants.
Today, with 15 branches, over 300 employees and extensive stock holdings, we've taken that experience and created Paving Place — a specialist online destination for paving slabs, porcelain paving, natural stone and landscaping materials, available for delivery across the UK.
